Independence Gives First June Donation Event

As of June 1st, there are currently 9,138 children living in foster care and 402 in Kenton County alone. When a child is placed in care they often only bring with them the clothes they were wearing and a few small items that are often tossed into a trash bag.

All month long, the IVC will be partnering with Operation Angel Closet, a program that provides care bags/essentials to children that are entering foster care.

Items needed (all items must be new):

  • Baby clothes, sleepers are great!
  • Children’s sized clothes up to size 6
  • Baby bottles
  • Pacifiers
  • Baby Wipes
  • Bibs
  • Diapers
  • Toiletries
  • Receiving blankets
  • Baby toys

Donations can be dropped off all month long at the city building, 24/7. There is a marked barrel right when you walk in.
