Independence Gives First February Donation Event

Did you know that inadequate nutrition can permanently alter children’s brain architecture and stunt their intellectual capacity, affecting children’s learning, social interaction and productivity?
Tichenor Middle School Food Pantry serves an average of 30 – 40 families a month and in 2018, served a total of 199 families – 877 total people, 482 of them children.

Please consider supporting them, along with the Independence Volunteer Corp, by purchasing the following needed supplies:
• Household cleaning supplies (dish soap, cleaning spray, wipes)
• Shampoo & conditioner
• Cheese/peanut butter crackers, fruit snacks, individual snacks
• Bottled water, boxed/bottled juices
• Any non-perishable canned or boxed food items work as well!

Donations can be dropped at the Independence City Building, 5409 Madison Pike Independence, KY 41051. There is a marked barrel in the lobby with 24/7 access.Thanks for your continued support!
